Saving Resources: Actions that achieve both climate goals and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

The UK has a crucial leadership role to play this year as it hosts the COP26 Summit. There is a short window for the global community to create a more sustainable, inclusive, equitable and resilient world for all – especially the most marginalised and excluded people.

The pandemic has shaken the global economy, and the enormous costs have put available resources for fulfilling the Paris Climate Agreement and achieving other things like addressing world hunger, eliminating poverty and tackling gender inequality under pressure. At a time when resources come under increasing strain, our latest report, prepared in partnership with the Sussex Sustainablity Research Programme (SSRP) will highlight the policies and measures that can simultaneously advance both climate goals and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

This event, held in partnership with the Sussex Sustainablity Research Programme (SSRP), will highlight the main themes we have identified in the report, and outline the practical actions that governments, businesses and civil society can take to simultaneously advance both of these important agendas.

The event will take place online on Zoom from 13:30-14:30 (UK time) on Monday 18th October.

Please RSVP here.
